Surprised by my disappointing experiences with the digital gizmos that others had praised, I could only conclude that some of the proponents hadn’t spent much time using them and observing how others were using them. Intended to inform and delight, these innovations are often unintuitive, inadequately explained, or exasperatingly dysfunctional.I go to an art museum to quietly look at pictures. I don't go there to read long explanations of what is on the wall, or to hear someone explain the art to me, or to listen over earphones to anything. Painting is a visual art. Just look at the pictures.
