Anniversary …

… Remembering H.D. on her 130th birth anniversary | OUPblog. (Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

I remember sitting in the Holmesburg Library (Holmesburg is a section of Northeast Philadelphia, the library was one of those built by Andrew Carnegie) when I was maybe 13 and coming upon  some poems of H.D. in an anthology I had picked up. One poem in particular really grabbed me for some reason — Pear Tree. I have been a fan of hers since that day.
