Alvin Kernan, who I gather was mostly raised in Wyoming, but perhaps a native of Georgia, used "popskull" in his memoir of WW II naval service, Crossing the Line. To "bag" something, as to avoid it, is or was recently current. I may have heard "tow sack", but that's about all I recognize from the list. The problem with projects like this is that one can sound like a re-enactor.
