Congratulations to Frank Wilson and BooksInq

I wanted to take a moment to recognize a significant milestone for BooksInq:

It was almost exactly as the new year arrived -- in the early hours of January 1st -- that the blog surpassed 3,000,000 pageviews. This is quite an accomplishment for any site, not least for one committed to books and literary culture.

Congratulations are in order to the entire team for providing such a consistent and engaging stream of reviews, posts, and links. Particular thanks go out to Vikram, Julie, and Dave. Your partnership and contributions are so well appreciated.

Without one team member, though, none of this would be possible: and that's Frank Wilson.

For the better part of a decade, Frank has committed himself to building one of the premier literary blogs on the web. And he's succeeded. With Frank at the helm, we've generated over 50,000 posts -- on topics ranging from the poetry and fiction, to history, politics, and music. BooksInq has garnered a reputation for excellence, and has emerged as a "one stop shop" for content focused on the arts and culture.

On this occasion, I wanted to extend a personal note of thanks to Frank for inviting me to join the blog in 2007, and for providing such thoughtful mentorship along the way. I continue to be thankful for our friendship and for the opportunity to contribute. I know the rest of the team feels the same.

So, a tip of the hat to Frank Wilson and BooksInq on this significant accomplishment: 3,000,000 pageviews. Felicitations!

  5. Thank you, Jesse, for your kind words. But, as with a string quartet, you need all the players. So much thanks to you and Vikram and Julie as well.

  8. Glad you and your blog-compatriots here are still in business, Frank. Now that blogs are no longer cool, they're the best place online to find independent and uncategorizable thinking.
