Don't they teach Shakespeare in school anymore? He wrote in verse. He addresses subjects of interest to all. You may have to show kids how to read it, since it may seem strange to them at first. There are plenty of poems that are immediately accessible. "i sing of Olaf glad and big." "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night." And yes, skip the explication.
