Song of the hour …

  1. Has anyone ever respected the male character in these lyrics? The woman is insistent in the beginning that she has to go, even though it is cold outside. So, it seems a failed muse, the guy doing what no respectable guy would do, and insisting that she stay nevertheless. If you change the lyric only to make her a black belt, then it would be perfect for her to kick him in the groin and get out. If you change the scene to include her father listening in, he would come in after the first back and forth and punch the guy in the mouth. So, it is a failed musing, and needs line changes. Either that, or something worse. It says to boys, that many times, just by being insistent, you can score a woman for the night. Whatever you do, do not walk her home, but keep pressing, pressing, and she will relent or submit. It says to girls and women, that there are compromising situations that sometimes you just cannot get out of without karate, but must tolerate. So, take another drink and submit.
