Pathetic …

Most poets would do well to steer clear of politics and why I should reflexively care what poets think about politics escapes me. What also escapes me is why politics has to pollute every aspect of life, as it seems to be doing these days.  You want to write about politics, get an assignment for your local paper's op-ed page.
Come to think of it, maybe politicians should start weighing on the state of poetry. That woukd be something.
