Makes me think of when my youngest daughter started at a French kindergarten and we were given a brochure about the place. There was a quote from a French educational psychologist on the cover - Piaget I think was the name. "Playing is the job of each child" (Le jeu, c'est le travail de l'enfant, c'est son métier) it said, which I thought was wonderfully earnest.
