Why … are these polemics against “niceness” so popular today? Why are they so common especially among “conservative” Christians, who pride themselves on their doctrinal purity and fidelity to Church tradition? Why do they so proudly announce that “being ‘nice’ isn’t a virtue” when it clearly is?
