  1. Frank,
Is that the house you stayed in? Looks like the old Krueger place - ma, pa and li'l Freddy. Perfect for Halloween.

Those are lovely pictures, Frank, and the last set you posted.

Ignore those shameless colleagues! more like something from Witness (Harrison Ford movie about the Amish)? Freddie Kruger indeed!

Looks like the house in that novel by Marilynne Robinson (the one Bryan Appleyard loved), _Housekeeping_. Could also see it as a Wyeth painting.

Hey, Frank, didja see that Wyeth exhibit at the PMA this spring? Wyeth really did some great paintings of old houses... My opinion of A.W. went way up after I saw that exhibit.

  5. Great pixs. We have a lot of houses around here that look like that on the outside, but are absolutely breathtaking on the inside...LOL...that's one way to keep property taxes down!

  6. Just west and south of where we were is Sullivan County, Willis, which one resident of Tunkhannock referred to as "real God's country." In fact, turn left at the top of the road on which our cabin is and the next left is Route 87, which will take you right into Dushore.
