  2. Frank, it's no suprise that you've reached that tally! You're site is addictive and thank goodness it exists. What's happened to your adopted lion, by the way? We're so looking forward to your verses. :)

  3. Isn't it funny to revisit old posts? When I look at my very early blog posts they are so messy and uncolorful, and then with practice the blog becomes prettier over time.

  4. I'm not surprised. This is a fine blog, Frank.

  5. A little perspective on this . . .

It takes 300,000 liters of water to produce one motor vehicle.

It takes 300,000 protons to produce one antiproton.

It takes 300,000 gallons of paint to paint a Forrestal-class carrier like The Saratoga (enough for 30,000 homes).

It takes 300,000 pounds of pressure to 'crush to destruction' a unit of WhisprWave, the hi-density, hi-molecular-weight polyethylene--the strongest plastic around--the only water barrier in the world built to withstand 100 mile an hour winds and 15 foot seas.

It takes 300,000 BTUs to burn one tire.

It takes 300,000 years for light to get from the centre of the sun to the surface of the sun because it goes zigzag.

It takes 300,000 gallons of water to flood an acre of cranberry bog.

It takes 300,000 man hours to inspect and refurbish the Shuttle between each flight.

It takes 300,000 pounds of hydrogen to be shipped from Louisiana to Cape Canaveral to send off one shuttle.

It takes 300,000 bits of information to redraw your computer screen.

  6. If your 300,000 hits were laid end to end, they would reach from the heyday of Big Media through the crushing decadence of blogging all the way to the end of culture as we know it.

I can wish you no better than that traditional Italian toast, trecentomila hits!
