  1. Now, Frank, I'm going to take you to task for quoting a comment second-hand that is taken out of context from the NYT article.

    The study simply points out that in the arctic, some plants have adapted to huge climate shifts in the past. The implications are that perhaps some species will adapt better than scientists feared to any future climate shifts.

  2. Yes, Lisa, and it could have been said just as you said it, without the clumsy interposition of "human-caused global warming." But no, we have to get the party line in there somewhere. For another implication is that climate, well, changes, has changed, and will continue to change.
