To repeat a slightly flippant line of mine, "Philosophy is the creation of mental problems, the solution of which is forbidden, unless the solution gives birth to a new problem, or better still, problems." Free-will or lack of doesn't exist as a problem until the reasoning mind invents it, and it's essentially a useless paranoid concept of an analytical mind becoming trapped in its own pathways. The ensuing discussions about free-will could be summed up: "Do we have free-will?" "I dunno, what do you think?" "I dunno, what do you think?" "I dunno, what do you think?" "I dunno, what do you think?" "I dunno, what do you think?" etc
