And the winner is ...

... NOT A NORTH AMERICAN! But you knew that, right? Instead the 2008 Nobel Prize for literature goes to Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio. Let's hear it for J.M.G.!

Actually, he was the guy I thought would get it. I should have made a prediction.

    Kudohs to Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio, though! Just read John's post about him being too busy reading; now, that's a refreshing change from Doris (who said, IIRC, last year, "Christ, no!").
