..........Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clezio, the 2008 Nobel Prize winner in Literature. I may not be alone in my ignorance, but I do love his response on hearing of his being named this year's laureate. He said a member of the Swedish Academy called his wife's phone as he was "busy reading".
