Job description ...

... Poet's Work by Lorine Niedecker. (Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

  1. Living at the time not more than a hoot and a holler from Lorine Niedecker's riverside cabin, I, along with a friend, went on a pilgrimage to it one day. My, it certainly was/is . . . plain . . . if not quite spartan. I like making pilgrimages to the obscure and under-celebrated among our literary forebears. Once I and the same friend visited the home of Hamlin Garland in West Salem, Wis. Now there's a site that is in dire need of financial support. I wonder if H. Allen Smith's boyhood home has been bronzed?
