Old Tory wisdom ...

... Political Systems. (Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

I have long suspected that, had I been around in 1776, I might well have remained loyal to the Crown. I am resistant to proposals of change. I need to be persuaded that the change is necessary, because, as Lord Chesterfield noted, "when it is not necessary to chane, it is necessary not to change."

  3. Frank? Surely you don't want to banish FWilson to Nova Scotia, don't you? How *could* you? Nova Scotia's so far away, I'd never be able to afford the gas and I'm a flyophobic :). Please reconsider; tar and feather him if you must; but, just say NO GO to NOSCO (and, send him to NO OH, svp/tnx, instead; you could even send him to OTTAWOE, where Nigel resides; and, Nigel and FWilson could drive through Gawd's Country and both visit me with every member of each's respective party. Pas de sweat. Piece of cakewalk from there to here, and the fishing's better since NO SCO's sorely depleted in that department). We have lots of pickerel, rainbow trout, bass, and soprano fishies left (but no sharks; so, the line don't form on the right, given the fact this is a political discussion, n'est-ce pas?). Purty pleas . . .
