Phillies!!1! Yahoo!!1! Hooray!!1!

Oh, I'm up late; you're right; but, I wasn't wrong. Phillies! The team with the dream did it! Yay! (I can hardly wait to read what Phil Sheridan has to say about this; I thought his piece on Lidge was really great ball-writing; but, how in the hell is he gonna top it? I *know* he will; and, some things truly are worth the weight, er, wait.)

Frank? You can believe, now. Don't matter what happens in the Classic, really; what matters is the Phillies done did it. And, I made five bucks on it :).

G'night (and forgive me; I'm just so happy; I hope I can calm down and sleep. Wait a sec, I can always sleep :)).

Susan! You must be happy, too! We was right! Dames rule!

Tra-la-la . . . Piece o' cakewalk :).

One FANTASTIC game. Our guys just completely outplayed the Dodgers, offensively and defensively. I have very high hopes for us now (though don't tell that to some of my other Phillie-lovin' friends -- that's jinxin' to say so aloud!). I am still amazed at Cole Hamels' brilliance on the mound; Lidge just does his thing; and those catches by Utley and Victorino were game changers.

But I would love someone who knows more about baseball than I to tell me why these bats keep shattering? I've never seen so many broken bats as I have this season. That one that flew into the stands when Utley made his diving catch could have impaled and killed a fan....What a different feeling we'd all have if *that* had happened.

Dave Lull, anyone? What's with the damn bats? I'm starting to think the MLB is buying them in bulk from Ikea.

  2. You must feel so great about this, your whole town; and, it's about time! Yeah, don't jinx 'em, Susan :). I think we're safe, erp . . . sorry 'bout dat; and, although I didn't see the game, I am serially considering checking into a hotel (with a Bible) if this gets World Serious (unless the neighbours next door open their window and put their TV in it for me). Had no idea there was a splitting-bat problem. The things you learn in a book blog; but, it is wonderful; and, to think some of the kids weren't even born when Joe Carter . . . well; let's not go there (nor Ikea, for that matter).

(I'd rather rant-o-rave, er, discuss Devon White's unofficial triple he was denied by Davidson, the creep!)

Dave! You're amazing; omigawd, seek and he shall find so ipso-quicko, you won't know what beaned ya!

Dave, thank you man! I read both articles and it sure looks like it's time to ditch maple bats and go back to ash.
