The International Festival of Authors is giving "random gifts of reading" to Torontonians to promote the festival (22 October- 1 November). More than 1,000 free paperbacks, by authors participating in the fest, will appear tomorrow before and during morning rush hour.
Um, I think the cost of the flight and room might cancel out any treats in The Big Choke's streets . . .
That's nice though. I also happen to know that Toronto will host Canzine, a festival of zine and other underground media, on Oct 26. I wish I could go.
