The Short-Story Problematic :)

Not sure I agree with this kinda different assessment of the prominence of the novel versus the short story in our literature(s). ISTM the short story is no poor cousin to the novel, not in terms of acceptance, sales, proliferation, nor execution. (Now, poetry, maybe; but, see what you think of this take on the tale of the tape in the NYT inked by Steven Millhauser.)

(The vegans will be up in hooves over the accompanying illustration, too; I bet you a prime-rib dinner!)
