Today's Inquirer reviews ...

... Carlin Romano on Indignation: New novel takes Philip Roth back to college.

... Theroux boards the train again for a revealing journey.

... Tokyo teen-agers in the 'Real World'.

... Orphan's story has overtones of Dickens.

A very nice mix.

  1. You can't have a nice mix with only four reviews. Hell, four reviews is barely enough for a taste.

  2. You're right, of course, Ed. A nice mix of canapes, maybe. Nice piece on Tom Disch, by the way. While I read I kept thinking, "I would have run that." But I mustn't think that way. Like the Little Sparrow, I have no regrets.

Just to clarify, that was Ed Petit (one of the good Eds) leaving that comment, not me, Ed C. But thanks in any event for the kind words, Frank.
