Best wrong answer ...

... Pulling out a quotation from Cunningham.(Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

I may have mentioned here once that Cunningham gave me the best advice on my poetry that I ever received.

  1. That must have been before my time, Frank; but, let me guess: The best advice on your poetry you ever received from Cunningham (you lucky dog)? I'm fairly certain it didn't have the word "practice" in it; but, I might be wrong.

So? Do tell more for those among us wishing to know the score.

("Practice" is a noun in Canada; "practise" is a verb. I note this because I understand that "practice" is both a noun and verb in the US. Is all.)

  2. Damnitol! I shoulda betted the word "practice" wasn't in that great compliment. You're still a lucky dog, Frank; and, IMO, I think you've moved beyond that point, now, too; plus, I bet Mr. C. would agree with me. Erm, five Canuck bucks? (With the exchange rate, even if I won, I'd O U.) LOL.

Thanks, FaveDave. Hope you didn't have a massive thaw there yesterday the way we did here; it went from minus twenty Celsius to eight plus in twenty-four hours; as you can imagine, all horror of hells broke loose (or, do I mean my brand-new roof got leaky? Yeah, the latter; but, the guy's gonna fix the flashing today . . .

    <*blink*>

Nah, my roof ain't flashing, he ain't that rude; it's just he's taking a leak by the chimney, hehe . . .).

You're still in top form, though, I see; and, I am happy to see you, that ain't a piece of cakewalk in my pocket, Mr. Sane Man :) . . .
