Just FYI, one of the best film critics in the galaxy, Rick Groen, reviewed The Reader in The Globe and Mail. There's also an interesting interview with the film's nubbie-friskie, David Kross (born on Independence Day 1980), by (poet firstly and top-mostly) R.M. Vaughan: "It's Not Every Eighteen-Year-Old Who Scores Sex Scenes with Kate."(Question: Some commentarians thought the Vaughan piece condescending and patronising; what think you (since I don't consider that to be true?)
OMGosh, I just aged said nubbie-friskie ten years; he was actually borned in 1990. Oops. Sorry. Must've been wishful sinking on my part. Scuzee.
