Erm, Christopher Hitchens . . .


. . . reviews Revolutionary Road for The Atlantic. Compare and contrast this review with James Wood's review in The New Yorker (if you can stand to so do).
p.s. The difference between the two reviews? Mr. Wood got the allusions to The Great Gatsby, a novel that profoundly affected Yates, clearly. That passage about the trees and the leaves and paradise is a direct ref to the passage in TGG; and, if I weren't rushing out the door, I'd prove it to you more :)
