p.s. The difference between the two reviews? Mr. Wood got the allusions to
The Great Gatsby, a novel that profoundly affected Yates, clearly. That passage about the trees and the leaves and paradise is a direct ref to the passage in
TGG; and, if I weren't rushing out the door, I'd prove it to you more :)
