Lost Forever . . .

. . . An incredibly heart-breaking day to deliver the news The Globe and Mail's stand-alone book section ceases publication forever:


Editor Martin Levin, obviously struggling to put a positive spin on another one biting the dust, writes, "Beginning 10 January 2009, BOOKS will have a new home, in print and on the web. We'll be part of a Focus & Books section every Saturday with the same authoritative survey of the Canadian literary scene, along with descriptions of our new online content . . ."

Martin fathered the BOOKS section in 1996; it was his baby (and, a beautiful baby it was). ^i^

This is impossibly difficult. Sorry.
p.s. Nope (for those of you asking); I'm a happy BITER; but, thanks for your concerns . . . I'm sticking with Frank, though, happily so . . .
