Nam Le: "I Am My Own Most Challenging Character"

Nam Le, recent recipient of The Dylan Thomas Prize, "was born in Vietnam and raised in Australia. He worked as a lawyer before winning the Truman Capote Fellowship to the Iowa Writers’ Workshop where he wrote The Boat, his award-winning collection of beautifully inventive short stories. The rising literary star speaks with Megan Walsh". Additionally, The Times bestows a seasonal gift upon "mature" readers, one of the up-and-comer's short stories, "Cartagena" (.pdf). (Awe/someness.)
