I suppose it would hard for newspapers to be any more bien-pensant than they are already, but if they can't make it on their own, let them die. I also suspect higher education would be better if it were less protected.
The world is shifting its media preferences. So what? Does ample false information not exist on the printed page? Conversely, is the Internet inherently without quality standards (I seem to have just read a NY Times op-ed piece via said Internet)?
