Reading while eating ...

... Dinner Companions. (Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

  1. This is an interesting though less harrowing variation on the question: What one book would you take with you if you were going to be stranded on a desert island? On that note, I have begun my own survey on that question at my blog, BOOKS AND NOTES. If someone asked you to recommend ONE book that he or she should read, what would you recommend? (By the way, I'm not sure that I'd want to read any of the suggested books included on the reading-while-dining list in the article.)

  2. I have a link scheduled for Sunday afternoon inviting others to get in on this.

  3. I ought to clarify my earlier comment: "By the way, I'm not sure that I'd want to read any of the suggested books included on the reading-while-dining list in the article."
I had meant to say that I would rather not read those books while eating. I think that another time-and-place would be more to my liking for most of the titles.

  4. ". . . I'm not sure that I'd want to read any of the suggested books included on the reading-while-dining list in the article." And you're not alone.
