I've been reading a bit of Marcel again lately, as well as Gaston Bachelard. Philosophers more artists ought to read. They settle some of those questions creatives keep asking, or asking of religious, or asking each other, not always satisfactorily. More poets ought to read Marcel; there's a lot there, for them.
Hear, hear.

Hmmm.... not entirely convinced. :\
ReplyDeleteSort of thing written by someone who doesn't, perhaps, know any maths outside of secondary school...
But I'd still rather listen to music than read my copy of Quine's Mathematical Logic. :)
Sorry, not convinced in return. I know quite a bit of math beyond secondary-school, and I still agree with Marcel.

ReplyDeleteSo, we can disagree. :)
