The unfolding of intentions ...

... Which and What is “The Road Not Taken”? (Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

  1. Thanks, Frank, for linking to this posting. Beyond everything else it contains--fascinating and complicated--it contains a look at Frost's "The Road Not Taken," which I regard as a fascinating, complicated, and baffling poem because of its skewed logic and its ironic contradictions. The more I read the poem, and when I frequently attempt to "teach" this poem in classes, I become more and more fascinated and baffled. Sometimes I wonder if Frost understood what he was writing. In any event, read the poem carefully and--even with the posting to which you have linked--you will find plenty about which to scratch your head.
