Some odd choices here ...

... but a lot of good ones: The Arts & Faith Top 100 Films. (Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

I've always been partial to Bergman's Winter Light, probably because of how faith and doubt are portrayed as so inextricably bound up with one another.

  1. A list like this is seriously marred by leaving out on the great films about doubt and faith, "Barabbas." (Based on the novel by Per Lagerkvist.) Granted, the list seems to avoid the usual toga-and-robe Hollywood films in general, but overlooking this film seems odd.

  2. Yes, Art, Barabbas is a great movie. The critics didn't like it when it came out (yes, I am old enough to remember), I presume because they just didn't get it. It is also a great book.
