Thought for the day ...

The hard part of writing at all is sitting your ass down in a chair and writing it. There's always something better to do, like I've got an interview, sharpening the pencils, trimming the roses. There's always something better to do. Going to a writer's club?

    This one made the status line on my Facebook page. Especially in the distracting "Age of the Click," it's getting harder and harder to get one's hands off the keyboard so one can have a long, uninterrupted thought.

    Had to take several days off just so I could settle down and finish a 3k word essay. How to become a hermit in one's own head?
