Well, well ...

... New Life Form Discovered.

But it remains carbon-based. And organic chemistry is the chemistry of the carbon compounds. So, while important, isn't the article overstating the matter at least a bit? Or am I missing something (which would hardly be remarkable)?

    Oh no, if true this is quite a tremendous discovery. But as I read, I though "Rapaccini's Daughter.". The radical element is on the fundamentally different composition of the base pairs and the absence of Phosphorous from the chemical make up. Really, really weird.
