I have recently come upon several references to Stoner, a book that somehow had never before come to my attention. But Nige has convinced me: I just ordered a copy.

    Frank, I believe Rich Barron also gives Stoner high marks.

    I read Stoner a few months ago and, at the risk of getting your expectations unreasonably high, I think you'll enjoy it a lot.
