Time passes so quickly. It seems like it was only a year or two ago when I first heard Brubeck. Then I ran out and bought the Take Five album, played it four thousand times (forgive the hyperbole), and--even as the vinyl disc was battered and worn out--had the wonderful sounds and rhythms forever etched into my mind. Friends must have thought that I owned only one album, which wasn't really true (but I knew they would not want to listen to my other favorites: Beethoven, Mozart, and--Lord help me--Mahler).
Of course, I meant to say I listened to "Take Five" and the rest of the _Time Out_ album. Well, when you reach my age, the little things in the grey cells can get really garbled.
