Hmm …

Can poetry be a vocation? Would it even be good for a poet to work year-round on poetry?
Some confusion seems to be at work here. A vocation is not a job. It is a calling. Heeding the call requires sacrifice, best made and borne without hoopla. But the sacrifice prepares the way for for grace, which often manifests itself while one are doing those things one has to do in order to support one's vocation. They assure that at least foot is planted on terra forma.
