I cannot imagine that any sentient being would want to know that he or she had the "suicide gene." Jews and Christians, for example, should remember that the Tree of Knowledge in Adam and Eve's garden was a huge problem. Perhaps all of this means something simple: ignorance is sometimes bliss.
