I think they are not exclusive Vikram. As Isaiah said, none of us know the mind of God. As Paul said we see through a glass darkly. So we also can't figure out the God side either whether or not things make sense in and of themselves (like subatomic physics; a famous physicist, Richard Feynman said if you think it makes sense you don't get it.)
