From the Chicago Tribune...

  1. Never heard of Aleppo. Can't name a foreign leader. And where was he all those years when I was a registered Libertarian? But the Chicago Tribune says he is principled. And Brutus was an honorable man.

  2. Yeah, their defence of Johnson does not stand but the other point of voting for a third option as a negative vote against the two mainstream candidates looks legit to me.

  3. Or not voting, which is what I did in '68. Though I seriously doubt that Trump would usher in the disaster we are being warned of. First, everybody will be on guard. Second, there must be a reason his fellow plutocrats want his opponent to win (check her speech fees). More of the same in this case means those people continue to get special treatment. At least Trump doesn't need the speech fees. Woe is us.

  4. Hmm, I have a feeling that if he wins, he will be more guarded in his actions than his utterances on the campaign trail indicate.

  5. Count me as someone who's leaving the presidential column on my ballot blank next month, even as I cast informed votes down-ticket for Congress, school board, etc. I don't usually like to talk about politics online; I mention this only so that people who are flirting with the idea know that others of us have already come to this conclusion.
