Help for the distressed …

… A poem we need to share from 1970 - Eratosphere. (Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

  1. The Trump-spurred hate crimes have begun. On the other hand, many people who voted for him are experiencing serious remorse. This is happening today.

This is not 1970. If Nazis may have a celebration party, and this is the USA so they may, anti-hate groups may have protest gatherings, and surely they may. Of course, people who hate protesters may protest the protesters, I suppose, as long as you don't try to make it illegal in any way, that would be unAmerican.

To note, in the comment area of the shared verse: Aftermath: Sixteen Writers on Trump’s America.

On Mass Ave here, if a protest demonstration was to begin, Mary & I would be there with bells on. While I write, the news is on, and a black man in Natick has been receiving hate male, and a Moslem law student at Harvard's voice is cracking as he reacts to press questions of a hate crime he experienced.

What did Trump voters think was going to happen?

  2. But this is happening in a state that voted for Clinton.
