  1. "which would be picked up by dedicated readers within 30 inches of the microchipped materials" Are the readers as dedicated as the library's patrons?

    I do find it amusing to imagine walking down the aisle of a city bus with a properly equipped phone and saying "Good heavens, man, The Da Vinci Code? "or "Madame, I have waited these many years to meet a woman who reads Musil!"

    But I understand the ACLU and EFF's concerns.
