    The many branches of science have very different cultures -- not surprising given that science is a human enterprise. The reproducibility crisis seems especially acute in psychology and pre-clinical cancer research, probably for different reasons. I don't know much about the former, but the latter is fiercely competitive, no doubt leading some scientists to cut statistical corners.
