The story says that “her parents were separated from their families and sent to federal government-run boarding schools as children.” But then it says that “they would pee their pants and then the nuns would take them out [of the closet] and beat them for peeing their pants.”A federal government-run school employing nuns? (I was taught by nuns whose order forbade corporal punishment, but I certainly heard of nuns who sounded brutal.) But I do think this story could use some clarification.
