The photo of the dominatrix reminded me of my favorite line from John Osborne’s LookBack in Anger. In the film version, when Claire Bloom (as Jimmy Porter’s wife’s best friend) raises her hand to slap Richard Burton (as Jimmy Porter), he says to her, “Go ahead, hit me. But don’t think I harbor any chivalric notions. You hit me, I’ll knock you across the room.”
