Oh, my ...

... 'L.A. Times' Cuts Review Freelancers. (Hat tip, Paul Davis.)

I would have expected greater reliance on freelancers, since they're more cost-effective.

  1. Wow. It used to be, in my opinion (and many other people's opinion), the top book section in the country, under Steve Wasserman. We're not talking the neolithic age – we're talking a few short years ago.

    I was proud to write for it.

    I agree with both of you. It was as good, if not as big, as the Sunday NYT very recently and yeah, why drop the more cost-effective freelancers?
