Q&A …

… In 'Morningside Heights,' Novelist Joshua Henkin Returns to His Old Neighborhood | Jewish Week. (Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

… it’s interesting because my first novel, “Swimming Across the Hudson,” and this one, “Morningside Heights,” in the narrow sense are much more autobiographical than the middle two, “Matrimony” and “The World Without You.” But I actually don’t really feel that that’s true, even though it is true. I’m always writing from the heart and I’m always a fiction writer; I’m never really interested in fidelity to actual truth for truth’s sake.
