Indeed …

It’s George Washington’s Birthday, Not Presidents Day: Celebrating The Indispensable Man.

  1. Washington's Birthday is the federal holiday for employees. Here in Massachusetts, we have Presidents' Day. The reason my trash was not collected here in Lowell is because of Presidents' Day. For me, taking away Lincoln's Birthday on the 12th, was to combine it with Washington's and make one holiday on the 3rd Monday of the month.

Not to take away from Paul's favorite, Honest Abe is still beating out the Father of the Nation in the polls for the top spot, for instance: Presidential Historians Survey 2021 and You Gov's The Most Popular Us Presidents (Q4 2021). All the rest get re-arranged depending on the poll, but the top 2 remain the top 2. We just didn't have any more room for 2 presidential birthday holidays in the same month.
