A belated list ...

The New York Public Library has compiled a list of 25 Books to Remember from 2005 . They seem to have solved the John Banville/Ian McEwan conflict by choosing neither The Sea nor Saturday. I'm glad they picked Peter Pouncey's Rules for Old Men Waiting, but wish they had noticed Luis Alberto Urrea's The Hummingbird's Daughter.
