Says Glenn: "But I'm a bit frustrated -- with myself -- because Malone doesn't see the connection between the final chapters of the book (on nanotechnology, space, and the Singularity) and the earlier chapters on more contemporary phenomena. That's my fault, not his."
I think Glenn's being a bit hard on himself. I found his "story arc" clear enough to not think it worth mentioning in my own review. Certainly the connection between individual empowerment and nanaotechnology is clear, since the latter will contribute to extending life, enhancing intelligence, and providing cheap material goods.
