Something I can identity with ...

... also from Rennie D: Memoir of a Gall Bladder. A few years ago, I had minor gall bladder surgery, which was followed by major complications, so that I spent seven days and nights in the emergency care unit. I discovered that I was entirely unprepared psychologically for being that unwell.

I realize now that The Life & Times of Rennie D is a poetry site. Thanks, Maxine, for pointing me to this.

  1. Oh, boy, I can identify too. I had to have mine out when my older daughter was a month old. That I had gallstones was confirmed the day I found out I was pregnant with her, so I spent my pregnancy eating as little fat as possible. But when she was a month old I got quite sick and it had to come out--not via laparoscopy, as it turned out.

  2. Frank, the Life & Times of Rennie D is more a series of reflections on the adventures of Life, in relation to Faith. Poetry is an occassional form, but more often prose. A visit to my initial posting http://lifeadventurer.blogspot.com/2006/02/and-exactly-who-is-rennie-d.html will provide some insight to the genisis of Rennie D.
